Josie is singing along to Harry Styles in Milo’s room as I walk out of the bathroom, freshly showered. By the time I finished unloading the truck and putting all the boxes in the garage, I was desperate to wash the grime of the day off. I let her jump in as soon as we got home, knowing it would take her much longer to get ready. Even though she takes notoriously long showers. Thankfully, there was still plenty of hot water.

My footsteps slow outside the door, my dick twitching at the thought of her shimmying her curvy hips to the beat.

Every fucking thing she does turns me on.

I knock, the desire to see her just too great to ignore. She’s still belting out the song as the door swings open, but the lyrics quickly dry on her tongue once her eyes land on me. A blush crawls up her neck when her gaze moves down my nearly naked body, color blooming on her cheeks as she eyes the towel wrapped around my waist.

“Did anyone ever tell you that your singing voice is sexy as hell?” I ask, pretending not to notice the way her stare lingers before meeting mine.

It’s like she’s not even trying to hide her attraction to me anymore. Though she’s still so plainly fighting the urge to act on it. For some reason, she would rather go out and pick up some random guy from a bar than accept this thing happening between us.

She leans lazily into the door, a smile tugging at her lips. “Yep. My legions of fans tell me every single day.”

I chuckle. “Is that so?”

“Yep. And Harry called the other day, wanting me to go on tour with him. But sadly, I had to pass.”

“His loss is definitely my gain.”

A shy grin spreads across her face, despite her efforts. “Did you actually need something? I’m trying to get ready here.”

I let my own stare wander then, taking her all in. Big mistake. She’s in my T-shirt again and not much else, her long legs on full display. My dick hardens.

What I need . . . what I need is her. I need to touch her, to taste her, to consume her.

I clear my throat, forcing my eyes to meet hers again. “What time is Parker going to be here? I was thinking we should Uber there.”

“Yeah, that’s probably a good idea. Parker said she’s going to meet us there around nine.”

I press my lips together, holding back my grin. I’d be willing to bet money Parker isn’t going to show up. It wasn’t easy to swallow the rage coursing through my veins when she joked about taking Josie out to find a cowboy to ride. But once I did, it became obvious the whole thing was a setup. She’d been making sly remarks about the two of us hooking up all day. Parker is clearly trying to give her friend a little nudge in the right direction.

“Sounds good, gorgeous. I’ll meet you downstairs when you’re ready.
